My role
Meta Ads & Social Media Manager

I run Meta advertising for 13 client accounts across restaurants, retail, salons, property and SaaS — and manage the page day to day on 9 of them.

Ads versus management

These are two different engagements and it is worth separating them. Ads means campaign strategy, audience building, creative direction and budget management. Management means also running the page itself: posting, responding to comments and messages, and keeping the brand present between campaigns.

Accounts where I do both consistently perform better, for an unglamorous reason — an ad that sends someone to a page with no recent activity and unanswered messages loses them.

What actually moves results

Creative beats targeting. Meta’s algorithm is good at finding the audience if the creative gives it a signal. Time spent on more creative variants consistently returns more than time spent narrowing an audience.

Events before budget. Campaigns optimising for the wrong event burn money efficiently in the wrong direction. Pixel and conversion event setup comes first on every account.

Local businesses need a different cadence. A restaurant needs frequent, cheap, timely creative. A property dealer or SaaS product needs fewer, better-considered campaigns. Running the same playbook across both is the most common mistake I see.
